EMPLOYMENT TERM: Remainder of the 2023-2024 School Year
250 days thereafter. Beginning date and number of employment days
will be prorated/adjusted for the current school year.
QUALIFICATIONS: A high School diploma or GED required; must successfully complete the state required competency test
for Supervisor of Maintenance, HVAC Mechanic II and Electrician II. Successful applicant must also
be familiar with HVAC work and have a minimum of a journeyman electrician and HVAC technician license.
SALARY: Based on Gilmer County Salary Scale, commensurate with
job classification and years of service
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, repair and maintain heating and air conditioning plants and equipment
Install, repair and maintain electrical system, including related equipment and appliances
Install, repair and maintain plumbing and drainage system, including related equipment and appliances
Perform repairs to buildings and related equipment
Perform a variety of duties in construction, maintenance, electrical and plumbing
Responsible for the input and maintenance of the statewide preventative maintenance program currently known as School Dude.
Work cooperatively with the Director of Facilities in establishing maintenance priorities
Assume other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities and the Superintendent of Schools
