Supervisor Of Attendance

Under general supervision, identifies, investigates, and assists in resolving chronic student attendance problems; conducts address verifications; represents the District in interactions with students and parents or legal guardians regarding attendance-related issues; coordinates, organizes and actively participates in: School Attendance Review Team (SART) and School Attendance Review Board (SARB) proceedings; and performs related duties as assigned.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements: Supervisor of Attendance certification or ability to obtain certification. A valid California's driver's license. Proof of automobile insurability. Bilingual

• English/Spanish.

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher - from an accredited academic institution - with a major in education, child psychology, sociology, law enforcement or a closely related field.

Work experience - in a closely related field - may be considered in lieu of major. Experience and/or training: Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience working with high-risk adolescents in an organized setting.

Experience in a similar public agency is preferred. Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience involving student and public contact. Or some combination of education, training and experience that produces the requisite knowledge and ability. Experience in a public agency is preferred.
