Supervisor Nursing Services

POSITION SUMMARY Reports To: Director of Inpatient Services Summary: Employee is an RN responsible for the supervision of staff during their assigned shift. He/she must have good communication skills and have the ability to make decisions quickly. Employee normally performs the duty assignments with broad parameters defined by general organizational regulations and procedures. Total end results determine effectiveness. Work Schedule: Must be able to work non-standard hours in excess of 40 hours per week. SKILLS # ABILITIES Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelors degree preferred. Experience Three to seven years related experience Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft#Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility. Must exhibit basic computer knowledge Certificates # Licenses Must have RN license. Must be certified in C PR and AC LS. Other Requirements Maintain knowledge and skills. Follows hospital service excellence standards of behavior. Maintains patient#s rights and HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures. Knowledge of nursing policies and procedures. Knowledge of hospital safety plan. Math skills to calculate drug dosages and IV rates. Ability to interpret information and act on it. Ability to handle stress effectively. This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of hands and fingers, bending, lifting and carrying 0-100 lbs and pushing and pulling 0-100 lbs.
