Supervisor, Middle School Math
The Supervisor of Middle School Math is responsible for the planning and oversight of the math curriculum at all middle schools; working with principals, assistant principals, and math teachers.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Works cooperatively with school and district personnel in the development of standard-based curriculum implementation models for all levels of middle school math.
Assesses the effectiveness of the middle school math curriculum and implementation.
Assesses student achievement in middle school math.
Improves instructional delivery in middle school math.
Performs and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.
Education: A master's degree. Degree or formal training in Educational Leadership required.
Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in classroom teaching, with three years of related management or supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of national, state, and district math standards and instruction trends and the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with school personnel, district staff, parents, and community members is necessary. Middle School experience preferred.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate: Educational Leadership, School Principal, or Administration and Supervision.
