Plains has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Supervisor to work out of our Seminole, TX location. Primary function is to supervise the prioritization, scheduling and execution of maintenance projects including preventative maintenance activities and emergency repair projects across the District.
Model and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Supervise / oversee maintenance projects at various locations as assigned.
Coordinate and manage maintenance projects with contractors and Company personnel to ensure safety, timely project completion, and high quality work and cost effectiveness.
Understands pipeline and terminal equipment, maintenance issues, available resources and effectively uses resources to complete routine and emergency repairs.
Demonstrates understanding of maintenance project impact on ongoing business.
Responsible for ensuring that Plains Policies and Standards are enforced.
Works closely with Operations to ensure successful project completion.
Acts as Plains representative when interfacing with contractors, government and local agencies, vendors, and other utility companies.
Ensures completion of documentation in accordance with Plains regulatory requirements.
Any other tasks or projects as assigned.
Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a working knowledge in the use and maintenance of specialized equipment used in the maintenance and repair of pipeline equipment.
Comprehensive knowledge of petroleum pipelines, above ground storage tanks, pumps, valves, meters and other related appurtenances is preferred.
Experience in project Cost management is preferred.
Must be able to successfully complete company Haz-Mat training and required DOT operator qualification tasks and mandatory safety training.
Understanding of PHMSA regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interface with wide range of company employees as well as contractors.
Ability to read and comprehend technical operational manuals.
Strong computer skills and experience with preventative maintenance programs preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
Ability to work in an open environment with extremes of heat and cold. Work environment is predominantly outside.
Must be able to work flexible schedule under all weather conditions.
