You will work closely with the Production Manager primarily to provide services to the maintenance group and assist them in meeting the operating plan goals and objectives, as well as provide information and training to comply with all EHS rules and regulations.

In this role, you will perform various problem-solving analyses in the areas of cost, manpower utilization and repetitive maintenance problems as required. By providing equipment reliability to produce acceptable quantity and quality of product you will be responsible for eliminating downtime where possible while maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.

  • Meet budget requirements by developing and implementing cost reduction projects for operational improvements and efficiency cost control.

  • Utilize our CMMS system to create work orders, schedule, and plan work.

  • Take part of Lean Six Sigma training and Supervisor skills coaching

  • Supervises and establishes priorities and schedule personnel for maintenance of all plant equipment, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic

  • Responds to breakdowns by determining problem and effect immediate repair

  • Supports a corporate culture that focuses on facts, tangible results and behaviors

  • Establishes and monitor plant-wide preventive maintenance program

  • Maintains plant maintenance staff by recruits, selects, orients, and trains employees; maintains a safe and secure work environment; develops personal growth opportunities

  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job goals and expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures


  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance background, experience and functional knowledge of area supervised, we would like to speak to you further about this role.

  • Minimum high school degree with additional college or trade school education preferred.

  • Previous experience directing skilled maintenance personnel.

  • Wood products industry knowledge a plus.

Our CNC techs primarily troubleshoot and repair complex domestic and foreign machine tools and related equipment that perform milling, drilling, and grinding functions to cast iron and steel components. Require proficiency in troubleshooting CNC / PLC controlled machines: * Mazak, Okuma, G&L, Junker grinders, Ingersoll, Toyoda , and a variety of equipment in the machine shop. * Mazatrol, Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Modicon, Indramat , and a variety of other controllers on the machines in the machine shop. * AC/DC analog and digital drives, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Modicon, Indramat , and various other drives. * Measurement and feedback scale and encoder systems, including Heidenhain, Inductosyn , and various other feedback devices. Lead small to large repair projects and overhauls with minimal supervision. Provide instruction, mentor and train less skilled technicians as needed. Effectively communicate with the site management team and the customer to understand requirements, solve complex electrical problems, and provide solutions to manufacturing problems. Responsibilities: * Exhibit strong leadership skills, such as motivation, delegation, ownership, leading by example, well-developed organizational skills, excellent communication skills, etc. Demonstrates a high level of urgency and flexibility to meet emerging business needs. * Supervise complex technical work utilizing a wide variety of resources, including computers. Often responsible for leading maintenance projects from anticipation to inception to completion. Identifies and documents cost savings. * Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair CNC machines and equipment as well as related mechanical equipment, such as pallets, fixtures, ball screws, spindles, drawbars, tool changers and ways . Calibrate instrumentation, equipment, and controls for optimum performance. * Recommend activities to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. Analyze and resolve work problems. * Develop and monitor work assignments for other technicians and coaches as appropriate. * Creates and modifies site operations procedures for equipment and recommends facilities reliability improvements. * Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations. Preferred Qualifications * Associates Degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Mechanical, or related program. * Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley / Siemens 7 / Fanuc /Mitsubishi 840 controllers. * Experience troubleshooting Gantry/Robotic systems and controls (Fanuc, ABB, Liehberr, etc.) * Experience troubleshooting CNC Machine tools, including but not limited to: Heller, Prism, ABA, Elb, Liebherr, Mazak, and Toyoda. * Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing process mechanical systems such as conveyors, filtration systems, and coolant systems to OEM specifications. * Experience with alignments and machine geometry using precision calibration tools. * Experience troubleshooting, repairing and working safely with 480v 3 phase electrical components. * Experience utilizing measurement tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, various type gauges, and calibers to set tolerances to OEM Specifications. * Experience using ball bar and laser equipment for alignments, calibration, and compensations of CNC controlled machine tools. * NFPA-70E Training.
