The Maintenance Supervisor leads, coaches, and supervises maintenance personnel and ensures that they are properly trained and are current on the fleet operating through their stations. Supervisors are responsible for the safety of themselves, equipment, space, and the employees under their jurisdiction and investigate any accident reported to them in accordance with company policy.
Directly supervises vendors to ensure that all maintenance work is done in accordance with FAA & Hawaiian Airlines (HAL) Specifications; ensures that vendors meet all HAL General Maintenance Manual (GMM) requirements.
Arranges for materials and staffing for both scheduled and unscheduled station work and provides the interface between HAL planning and station maintenance vendor to ensure all of the planned maintenance objectives are met daily.
Is the station focal point for all HAL technical and engineering requests and clarifications.
Coordinates aircraft maintenance with HAL Maintenance Control, sets ETRs, advises times and clears, or release times. Coordinates and communicates station maintenance activities with local station management
Audits and signs for work records in connection to work performed and acts as a liaison between Vendor(s) and Hawaiian Airlines. Plays an important part in the stations compliance with the CASP program specifically HAL GMM Chapter 5 "Self-Auditing"
Supervises vendors and maintains proper completion of A/C records and forms. Supervises vendors and processes HAL parts inventory at the station.
Other related duties as assigned.
DOT regulations, 14 CFR part 120 identifies this position as performing safety-sensitive functions. You will be required to undergo DOT pre-employment drug testing to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, PCP (Phencyclidine) and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into this position.
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Airframe and Power Plant License.
Valid Driver's License & Passport
3 years Aviation maintenance experience
3 years of Supervisory/Leadership experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
5 years aircraft maintenance experience in commercial aviation
5 years of experience on wide body aircraft
System knowledge of Boeing 787 Airbus A330 and A321 aircraft
Displays maturity of action and judgment
Ability to read wiring diagrams and trouble shoot A/C systems including electrical and avionics.
Computer skills in Word and Excel.
Proficiency in TRAX desired
