Shared Duties

Profit Maximization:

  • Review results utilizing reporting including Scorecard

  • Adjust daily schedule based on business needs

  • Ensure adherence to Loss Prevention policies

  • Reduce risk and protect assets in compliance with the Operational Audit

  • Lead, coach, and participate in execution of special event playbooks

  • Maintain security of physical building, sensitive data, and IT equipment to policy

  • Ensure compliance to Injury Illness Prevention Program; recognize and resolve safety hazards

  • Execution of Physical Inventory Standard Operating Procedure

  • Take appropriate action during business interruptions and emergencies

  • Ensure Merchandise Management expectations are consistently met

  • Complete forklift certification and operate as needed

  • Completion of inventory adjustments

  • Complete and maintain callbacks and pullbacks

  • Process defects, destroy, special handling returns, managed waste, and open box in adherence to policies

  • One year experience in retail leadership preferred


  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational degree or High School graduate/Equivalent or 2 years Management or Functional Experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate with customers and associates in person and via e-mail and telephone.

  • Ability to intermittently lift, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Requires standing and moving for an entire shift.

  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist.

  • Ability to safely climb up and down a ladder. Ability to become forklift certified and physically able to operate a forklift in accordance with IIPP.


  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, overnights and weekends as necessary to meet the needs of the business.

VIEW JOBS 12/1/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-01T00:00 The primary responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator include the coordination and scheduling of all outgoing domestic and international shipments. In this role they will act as a subject matter expert on the safe and efficient movement of goods with a thorough understanding of global transportation requirements. The candidate will have proven abilities and knowledge of customs compliance, hazardous materials compliance, labelling requirements, and effective problem solving and communication skills. The Logistics coordinator will uphold a customer-oriented focus in a fast paced and changing environment while demonstrating a team first attitude. Key Responsibilities: * Liases with logistics team and partners to ensure shipments are on time and meet all customers and shipping regulations and requirements. * Supports business safety processes and procedures. * Acts as Primary Point of Contact for all shipping issues and questions. * Oversees all shipping requirements. * Coordinates bookings through freight forwarders for export shipments. * Coordinates domestic shipments according to availabilities and requirements. * Gets rates for shipments and negotiates for best rate. * Collaborates with customs brokers on import shipments. * Maintains shipping records, reports and spreadsheets. * Optimizes GHS labelling and shipping documentation processes. * Ensures Hazardous materials are processed and shipped in compliance with DOT regulations. * Utilizes SAP, shipping solutions, and other logistics software to optimize processes. * Supports the Artley Road warehouse and all goods movements and inventory control. * Manages shipping material inventory including bulk bins, pallets, drums, and liners in an effort to keep an adequate supply on hand to meet order demand. * Coordinates the scheduling of import containers and ensures ISF and TSCA compliance for the same. * Creates and maintains systems for tracking and reporting all transportation costs. * Helps coordinate all movements of vessels for addition systems. Provides periodic status reports on vessel readiness and movements. * Assists in movement and tracking of goods from Artley Warehouse to the Plant. * Assists in month end raw material and finished goods activities including inventory counting, SAP movements and adjustments. * Helps lead and instruct shipping and warehouse personnel. * Make suggestions for improvements in safety, environmental, and quality of products. * Performs other duties as assigned by management. Are you the ideal candidate? * High School diploma or equivalent * Minimum of 5 years' experience in the transportation or logistics field * Minimum of 5 years' experience in international shipping activities * Minimum 5 years of experience working with transportation software, preferably Shipping Solutions * Experience with SAP * Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) * Knowledge of all INCO TERMS and ISPM15 * Knowledge of HAZMAT shipping regulations * Self-motivated individual with good time management skills * Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task – MUST be detail oriented * Ability to perform well under pressure and with strict deadlines in a calm and professional manner. * Ability to work independently or as part of a team * Excellent interpersonal skills * Good IT literacy skills (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) * Demonstrates initiative, common sense and sound judgement.
