Summary:Supervise the daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department. Implements and monitors ongoing quality improvement indicators.

Assures ongoing educational activities and competencies of departmental staff. Daily budget oversight for labor and supplies

Qualifications

Other information:Education: High School Diploma/GED is required.

Certification: Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Tech (CSPDT) is required.Associate Degree in Business, Healthcare or related applicable field of study preferred. 3 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. National certification in sterile processing required. National certification as sterile processing supervisor preferred.

One to three years practical experience in sterile processing techniques required. One to two years supervisory experience preferred. Valid New Mexico drivers license.
