Overview: This position is responsible to maintain regulatory and professional standards and exhibit strong decision-making capabilities.
A close working relationship with Radiology leadership is required to maintain a cost-effective and patient-focused service. Identifying and accomplishing program goals, action items, and outcomes are also components of this position. This position is responsible to provide care for patients undergoing Imaging procedures using the approved workflows and procedural protocols.
Technologists in this position are able to demonstrate full knowledge of Imaging equipment. This position is responsible to supervise staff who provide care for patients undergoing Imaging procedures. Radiologic Technologists are authorized to handle and administer contrast media in accordance with radiology processes and procedures.
Competencies are completed through the Radiology department. Talent Pool; Allied Health Responsibilities: Supervises direct reports, manages daily operations, staff schedules, workflow, and patient services/care.
Uses Operations Advisor Report, Press Gainey Patient Satisfaction and Employee Engagement to monitor performance. Responsible for accurate and timely completion of employee time sheets in Kronos, staff development to include coaching, corrective action, and performance appraisals. Performs routine and special exams consistent with established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose to as low as reasonably achievable.
Exam productivity is within established benchmark. Consistently completes all exams and documentation in CHL and PACS. Consistently and accurately identifies all charges associated with studies.
Addresses errors and resolves issues related to final product being sent to PACS. Consistently demonstrates commitment to safe practices and supports Just Culture. Commitment to use Two for Two to accurately identify patients, follows procedures to avoid laterality errors, eliminate falls and ALARA.
Completes all annual competencies by designated timeframe. Exemplary model using AIDET, service excellence and service recovery. Responsible for ACR accreditation process to include annual equipment evaluations, maintenance, and appropriate periodic quality assurance.
Qualifications: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent, Required , Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program required. EXPERIENCE: 2 or More Years, Healthcare
Radiology, CT/Diagnostic or Ultrasound clinical experience performing a variety of exams 1 to 2 Years, Healthcare
Radiology, Imaging Supervisor experience. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED ARRT (R)(CT) | CT Technologist ARDMS | Ultrasound Technologist BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider ARRT(R)(CT) or ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist required. Must have above credentials and maintain at all times. PREFERRED
