We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to join our Additive Manufacturing (AM) team. The Additive Manufacturing Engineer will help drive the vision and capabilities for our AM platform. This is a great opportunity for you to put your mark on an innovative and value-added program.
This role will support the facilities maintenance equipment team with a focus on Additive Manufacturing (AM) as well as support for equipment trades. The positions primary responsibility is to design and print parts for facility maintenance repairs for Walmart US stores. Travel during normal business operations from the office to the print shop will be needed. There may be optional overnight travel on rare occasion.
What you will be responsible for:
Building and maintaining of parts catalog
Prototyping, quality control and testing
Managing the print farm manufacturing operation
Work collaboratively with senior leaders in FM as well as with cross-functional teams
Skills and experience needed to be successful:
Experience in either metallic or nonmetallic additive manufacturing
Familiarity with basic assembly tools
Proficiency in CAD modeling software (preferably Solidworks) and its application to AM (preferably Eiger).
Must understand design-for-additive considerations & challenges
Excellent communication skills and ability to present information to senior leaders
Familiarity with SAP
Comfortable working independently in an environment where you must go and find information and develop solutions to operational challenges
