Pay Rate Starts at $15 an hour

Title: Supervisor

Reports to: General Manager / Assistant Manager

Position Summary:
Responsible for parking operations during the overnight/weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities of Supervisors:

  • Ensures that employees perform their duties as required

  • Monitors the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility

  • Monitors the safety of vehicles, customers, and employees

  • Reports any vehicle accidents or employee injuries

  • Assists in other capacities and in other departments as needed

  • Audits daily work of Cashiers and Drivers

  • Must be able to contact employees to fill shifts or personally cover a shift as needed

  • Complies with all regulations and requirements governing operation of commercial vehicles

  • Performs additional duties as reasonably requested by Management

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience of Supervisors:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • High school education or equivalent; some college is preferred

  • Some supervisory experience preferred

  • Good driving record

  • Currently holds, or is able to obtain, all applicable licenses or badges as required by governing authorities to operate a commercial vehicle

  • Must be willing to pass a physical as part of the selection process as required by airport, federal DOT and/or state regulations

  • Able to read and speak the English language sufficiently (DOT Requirement)

  • Demonstrates leadership, communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to assist with luggage

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for coordinating activities within the assigned program. This includes the company employees and other temporary employees engaged in the program. They must inspect areas, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with sanitation and OSHA regulations. They also assist with JCAHO compliance. Responsibilities * Maintain a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas. * Perform duties of employees within the program assigned. * Train and instruct employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures. * Coordinate and monitors work activities. * Written reports, such as pass down, weekly, or monthly. * Perform quality, service, and safety inspections. * Track equipment inventory, maintenance and repair. * Track supplies inventory and maintained. * Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment. * Reports employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor. * Corrects at risk behavior immediately, then reports to the supervisor immediately. * Reports accidents and incidents to the supervisor immediately. * Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement. * Maintain records, i.e. training, inspections, attendance and metric data. * Familiar with supervisor responsibilities. * Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, such as FLSA, OSHA, ADA, and JCAHO by working with Human Resources and Manager. * Some travel may be required for this position. * Manages employees in the program. * Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications * Six months to 1 year related experience and/or training; High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Union experience preferred. * Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Ability to effectively communicate to customers, contractors, or employees of organization. * Bilingual in Spanish a plus * To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. * Good written and verbal skills, excellent customer service skills, training abilities, and time management skills. * A plus but not required; problem solving, presentation, and coaching. * Use of forklifts and pallet jacks a plus. * Valid Driver's License to operate company or personal vehicles. * May be required to be Forklift Certified.
