Position Overview As the Supervisor of Environmental Services and Laundry, you will lead a team in maintaining assigned areas and equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the availability of necessary supplies, operating equipment safely, and upholding a pristine environment. Collaborating closely with the Manager, you#ll conduct area inspections, address deficiencies, and provide retraining as needed.

In the Manager#s absence, you#ll play a pivotal role in coordinating evening departmental activities and delegating tasks to staff. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage monthly schedules, handle time-off requests, address short-notice requests, and oversee time card verification. Fill in for absent housekeepers when necessary.

Attend and actively participate in training sessions to stay informed about unit and departmental changes and announcements. Seek continuous improvement through feedback and acquiring new knowledge. Responsible for training new department staff on Environmental Services Policies and Procedures.

Review and ensure compliance with Departmental Code, Infection Control, and Hazardous Communication manuals. Conduct routine housekeeping and laundry tasks, as well as tour and inspect project areas to assess work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures. Requirements Previous healthcare facility cleaning experience is required. Prior experience in Operating Room cleaning and supervision is preferred. Proficiency in performing various housekeeping and laundry procedures in accordance with instructions.
