Exelon has an exciting opportunity at our Dresden Station in Morris, IL (65 miles SW of Chicago, IL) for a Electrical Maintenance First Line Supervisor.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Directly responsible for the supervision, assignment and coordination of Maintenance Division activities to ensure a productive workforce that supports all divisional, departmental, site and corporate goals while in accordance with all company policies and local, state and federal regulations. Interfaces with the department schedulers and planners to plan and execute work. Provides recommendations on training, procedure changes, and other needs to support safe and efficient execution of work activities. Participates as an Emergency Plan team member.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively supervise craft personnel to ensure that all assigned maintenance activities are performed safely and effectively by qualified workers in accordance with plant procedures, NRC regulations, and the site schedule. Ensures department personnel are properly supervised, trained, and qualified to perform assignments, including emergency plan qualifications.

  • Administer coaching, mentoring and performance management, including initiation of disciplinary action, for assigned employees.

  • Effectively communicating significant plant and personnel issues to Maintenance Manager and all applicable levels of station management. Fostering open communications and collaboration between all organization internal and external to the plant including INPO and regulatory agencies.

  • Ensure effective communication of company programs, announcements, policies, etc. to assigned employees and feedback to the company from assigned employees.

  • Participate in various aspects of work control, coordination, scheduling, and engineering meetings involving online, load reductions, forced outages and refuel outages activities, to ensure that assigned work is properly assigned, planned and ready to work.

  • Understands, supports and administers all Maintenance processes, such as the training program, surveillance program, procedure revisions and CAP to ensure effective work practices. Identify and support improvement opportunities, when applicable.

  • Supervise vendor inspections and repair of plant equipment. Assure effective procurement and use of material, parts, tools, equipment and M&TE.

  • Participates in all aspects of Maintenance Department management to support safe and efficient operation of the plant, including the development, implementation and performance monitoring of all corporate, site and divisional business goals and objectives.

POSITION SCOPE

  • Budget $1-1. 5 million.

  • Supervision of 6-12 FTEs

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

  • 6 years related experience of which 4 years are in the craft he/she supervises

  • Must have completed a positive Leadership Assessment (FLS)

  • Meet ANSI requirements for site Maintenance Supervisor

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent problem solving, decision-making and planning skills

Preferred:

  • Successful completion of core supervisory/management training and development programs

  • two-year technical degree

  • Fluent use of electronic work management system, Microsoft Word, Excel

  • 3 years minimum experience in nuclear power plant operations

Energize your career at Exelon! Exelon Generation is looking for an Instrument Work package planner at our Dresden Nuclear Station in Morris, IL (65 miles SW of Chicago, IL). PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Plan and prepare work packages for work to be performed by the respective maintenance departments Instrument Maintenance and other supplemental groups as required by planning management) to insure that the plant maintenance is performed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner, in compliance with the QA manual, company policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES * Plan and prepare work instructions that provide direction to the Maintenance Department for corrective maintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and surveillance's, and the implementation of modifications. Select and approve purchase, or make procurement recommendations for all materials needed for work package execution. * Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance, modification and surveillance activities and to provide input for refining and improving work package quality. Interface and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to identify and resolve work package issues. * Define procedures, drawings, equipment and materials required to performing planned work packages. Facilitate package preparation by preparing and/or submitting OOS's, RWP's, plant barrier impairments, welding/grinding permits, fire impairments, Operability impact statements, ALARA task outs, Regulatory/Code documentation, NOS hold/witness points, freeze seal and temporary leak repair documentation, and other requests. * Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable station procedures including NSP's, NSWP's, ASME Code, etc. Approve and review all required work packages to ensure safety, high quality, technical rigor, and 10CFR50. 59 screening or evaluation (if required). * Develop revise, and review maintenance procedures to facilitate and enhance work package development, maintain compliance with codes, standards, and vendor recommendation, and maintenance direction. * Provide project management of other system planners or contractors to develop detailed elements of overall package preparation. * Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback/craft interface time, detailed contract requisition reviews, complex troubleshooting, Rework reviews, OPCC reviews, detailed OPEX searches, Maintenance risk/CO request reviews, Planner peer reviews, and system interaction reviews to ensure applicable station processes and applicable changes are supported.
