Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As the Distribution Supervisor, you will lead employees in coordinating shipments and documentation. You will collaborate with cross functional teams in both the plant and distribution center in order to drive results across the traffic/shipping function.

You will be trusted to:

  • Manage carrier arrangements to transport finished goods, parts and supplies utilizing common carriers, dedicated fleet and courier services.

  • Complete documentation, distribution metrics, reporting and analysis.

  • Monitor, analyze and identify transportation modes or methods that maximize asset utilization.

  • Expedite transportation solutions by trouble-shooting immediately when problems arise.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred).
  • 5+ years related experience.

Additional Qualifications

  • Commercial Driver's License or equivalent is preferred.

  • Expert in transportation details required to efficiently meet customer requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of AS400, Max-Load or similar transportation systems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective listening skills.

  • Able to handle multiple tasks, stay organized, and focused on details.

  • Advanced problem solving and analytical capabilities.

  • Requires ability to navigate a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications.

  • SAP knowledge is a plus.

  • Effective leadership.
