The Supervising Pharmacy Technician, leads Certified Pharmacy Technicians who act as an intake for all calls from patients, pharmacies and providers. The Supervisor works within prescribed guidelines and procedures; uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems; collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach.
The Supervising Consultative Pharmacy Technician addresses questions related to specific assigned area. The supervisor leads a team of pharmacy technicians who handle inbound calls from members and also triage calls that require consultation with a pharmacist. The supervisor responsibilities include decisions that are typically related to schedule, plans and daily operations. Supervisor may handle escalated or more complex work, and supervises and coordinates day-to-day oversight to associates. Ensures consistency in execution across team. Holds team members accountable for following established policies.
Certified Pharmacy Technician.
1-2 years experience in a team leadership or supervisory position.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Able to give direction and make sound business decisions.
