As a Supervisor of Construction Services, you will supervise construction management and inspection staff for Core Programs US. This includes the safe and effective field execution of an annual portfolio of Construction Projects.

What you will do:

  • Support Project Development. That includes contributing to the development of construction scope, cost estimates, spend profiles, and schedules. Providing support to the Engineering team to ensure project estimate accuracy and scheduling support.

  • Engage with Project Controls, Supply Chain and other internal partners and manage the relationship with the Contracted Service Providers.

  • Manage field execution. Plans, organizes, and directs all field construction teams to complete Projects within the approved budgets, required deadlines and associated legal contracts.

  • Leads the Construction team.

Who you are:

  • Applicable University degree, College diploma, or Journey person certification and/or a combination of related construction or operational training and or experience.

  • Minimum of 7+ years progressively responsible working experience in the pipeline and/or facilities industry. This includes a solid understanding of pipeline and/or facilities construction principles, industry standards, governmental regulations and detailed and/or project management experience.

  • Must have exposure to Engineering, Construction and Field operations which includes knowledge of: excavation, welding, hoisting and equipment.

  • Familiar with industry codes, regulations, standards, and specifications.

  • Effective leadership skills which include, cultivating a collaborative, hard-working team-focused approach and inspire change in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

  • Role requires a valid driver's license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire and the legal ability to cross the US and Canadian border.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with some field work.

  • Scheduled travel to Enbridge offices, operating facilities, construction sites, and supplier facilities (30 to up to 50%). Available outside normal work hours to address any technical, cost, safety and environmental issues that occur during active projects.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
