You could play a key role supporting the Community Learning Departmentin the Resource & Referal Division!
The Community Learning Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the day to day operations of the Community Learning Team in the Resource & Referral Division. The supervisor is directly responsible for overseeing all aspects of the training coordination for the community and professional development for staff. The Community Learning Supervisor will coordinate various office support services and perform advanced administrative duties for the Community Learning Manager and Director.
Key areas of responsibility include the ability to:
BA minimum required; or equivalent college semester units in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Health & Safety or a related field or equivalent experience or any combination of education and experience which would enable the candidate to successful perform the functions of the position.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in child development or early care and education.
Demonstrate leadership capabilities; ability to work as a team leader to implement program and agency policies and goals; 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, strong written and communication skills; ability to successfully interface with others (Bilingual English/ Spanished preferred)
Strong knowledge and understanding of Child Development & Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
Experience working with children and families.
Experience facilitating groups independently and/or co-facilitating groups.
Experience and ability to work with adult learners and diverse client populations.
Familiarity with child care provider population.
Ability to complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirement and changes in assignments.
Ability to maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agency staff, and the public.
Ability to be flexible and innovative, as the needs of the program evolve (including flexible work hours), to support departmental and agency programs.
Ability to complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.
Proficiency in Windows based programs and data entry experience required.
Valid California Driver's License, reliable vehicle, automobile insurance and a clean driving record required.
Provide documentation of required TB and fingerprint clearance.
