ITT Goulds Pumps is looking for a CNC Programming Supervisor to join their team in Seneca Falls, NY. The CNC Programming Supervisor will be responsible for oversight of a team responsible for developing software programs that direct CNC (computer numerically controlled) machines to cut and shape metal/material to produce components for industrial pump applications. This position reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering.

Essential Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and mentor a group of approximately five to seven CNC Programmers/Manufacturing Engineers. Draft, update, and ensure compliance to standard work.

Lead the team to drive cost reduction initiatives such as setup reductions, cycle time reductions, tool life improvements, etc. Responsible for annual performance assessments and providing constructive feedback to employees. Work with maintenance, operations, assembly, quality engineering, scheduling, and other departments to help drive improvements to on-time performance, first pass yield, and to reduce delinquency.

Must be able to program CNC equipment such as Horizontal and Vertical Lathes, Horizontal and Vertical Milling Centers, Multi-Axis Lathes and Machining Centers and other accessory equipment as needed. Ensure compliance to revision control for setup sheets, programs, fixture drawings, etc. Communicate with programmers, shop floor management, machinists/setup operators and engineering to achieve solutions to both capacity planning and quality level.

Analyze work orders for requirements to produce product efficiently. Ensure programmers are using optimized tools, speeds, feeds, and fixturing. Mastercam experience preferred.

High level of math skills. Must be able to perform standard shop computations (applying geometry and trigonometry) relating to angular and linear dimensions of work, tooling, and speeds and feeds of machining. Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

High School diploma or GED or trade school certification is required. Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining and programming experience.

Must have strong knowledge of CNC machines. Must be able to read, write and understand English, perform simple shop math calculations, and follow verbal and written instructions accurately. Must have Lean/setup reduction and mistake proofing experience.

Must have general computer experience.

MSOffice including Excel, Teams, Word, Power Point. Mastercam software skills preferred or other CAM software. 3-dimensional thinking.

Great attention to details. Capable of working independently. Creative problem solver.

PDCA Comfortable having responsibility and holding people accountable. Excellent communication skills. Familiar with Lean and Kaizen techniques.

Equal Pay Act Range

Annual Salary Range between $98,800 to $147,600 Includes benefits and incentive plans.
