Supervisor Clinical Laboratory at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center
This posting represents a 1.0 FTE, day shift opening (Monday
Friday 8AM-4:30PM), however as we are a 24/7 operation, some weekends, evenings, nights required on occasion.
The Supervisor- Technical Small and Rural Hospital Labs must possess excellent technical skills and knowledge as well as the leadership abilities necessary to supervise all activities of the lab in the absence of the Laboratory Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to, orientation and training of employees, performing personnel evaluations, supervising and performing technical operations as assigned by the Laboratory Manager. The delivery of services must be performed in a highly cost-effective manner while maintaining appropriate licensures and conditions as required by CLIA, OSHA, CAP, the Quality Plan and the Laboratory Compliance Program. The incumbent must support the primary goals of the facility and its Manager to improve service to emergent and critically ill patients and, where appropriate, to meet production goals and timelines necessary to effectively compete in the outreach market.

Required Qualifications:
Documented leadership coursework.
Upon hire: National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
Upon hire: National Medical Technologist
5 years Progressive technical laboratory experience in a high volume acute-care facility.
Demonstrated outstanding Service Excellence experience.
Demonstrate experience with State and Federal and other regulatory Compliance regulations including CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, EMTALA.
