Position Summary:
The clinical pharmacist team lead is responsible for both performing and supervising daily clinical and operational activities of the B6 Satellite Pharmacy. The team lead reports to the clinical manager and director of pharmacy services for Hematology and Oncology.
Job-Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform duties of clinical pharmacist on Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant services
Supervise daily operations of assigned team. Participate in the selection, training, orientation, and assignment of day-to-day operations
Develop standards of performance
Evaluate employee performance and conduct coaching and counseling when appropriate
Process weekly timesheets
Respond and resolve customer service issues brought by other departments as they relate to pharmacy services
Participate in performance improvement activities. Represent pharmacy in committees and projects
Assist in maintaining continuous level of readiness for regulatory and quality visits
Investigate pharmacy-related medication events and properly escalate action plans as appropriate
Perform other duties and projects assigned by immediate and senior leader
Schedule: Day shift; variable (clinical and administrative responsibilities)
Experience:
At least 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience required
At least 1 year of supervisory position preferred
Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent
Completion of pharmacy residency preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
Texas Pharmacy License required
IV Certification is required
BLS required
Aseptic Sterile Technique Certification required
