We are looking for a Supervisor Clinic LVN for the SJuHMG Val Mesa TMC Department at St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare.

Work Schedule: Full time - 80 Biweekly hours
Shift: 8 hour, Days
Working under the direction of the Sr. Nurse Manager and/or Site Manager/Director, this position has direct responsibility for the supervision of staff in the clinical department. Ensures staff is providing patient care within the scope of practice outlined by the California Board of Nursing.
Under the direction of Sr. Clinical Manager and/or Site Manager/Director, oversees the functions of the clinical department.
Identifies problems within the department, analyzes and resolves with appropriate action. Identify trends/patterns that adversely impact flow and discuss with manager.
This position will assist with recruitment, selection, training, disciplining, discharging and development of staff competent to achieve corporate goals and objectives.
Works with multiple specialties MD's doing specialty procedures.
Provides staff with standards of performance, informing them of job expectations and evaluating their performance.
Is a super user for the AEMR system; assists with staff training and troubleshooting.
Communicates effectively with internal/external customers. Maintains patient/employee confidentiality, following HIPAA guidelines.
Develops goals and objectives for both the department and individual employee. Devise methods for employees, individually and as a department, to obtain goals.
Maintains current knowledge of medications, disposal of wastes, and sterile techniques while adhering to infection control, universal precautions and use of personal protective equipment.
Responsible for updating and keeping track of attendance/Kronos for direct reports.
Oversees inventory and orders for office and medical supplies, medications and vaccinations.
Conducts clinical staff meetings, committee meetings and other meetings as assigned.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served including knowledge of the principles of growth and development and psychosocial characteristics and interventions for infant (0-1 year), child (1-5 years), school age (6-12 years), adolescent (13-17 years), young adult (18-45 years), middle adult (46-60 years), older adult (60+ years).
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Windows, and Excel.
Employee management skills.
High level of customer service skills with a genuine caring approach to helping people.
Maintains a positive attitude with changing conditions.
Good organizational abilities.
Requires good written and verbal communications skills to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Must be able to work under general supervision.
Must have a professional and mature demeanor.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced department and handle multiple tasks, work with interruptions, and deal effectively with confidential information.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Three (3) years Recent experience in an acute care facility or medical group practice with 1 year in a medical practice.
Employee supervision/management experience.
Current California LVN license.
Current BLS from American Heart Association
Preferred Position Qualifications:
Experience: EMR and IDX experience
License/Certification: IV Certification.
