May assist in out of school time programs as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Plan, organize, and implement the program for Early Learning children in accordance with approved curriculum, applicable policies and philosophies of the school and the Child Development department; plan and implement daily activities according to assessment of developmental need * Conduct developmental assessments for children according to established procedures; observe children during classroom activities; maintain child portfolios and related records; conduct parent conferences using a Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) or other district approved tool. * Prepare and maintain a variety of records related to program activities, including parent sign in/out forms, student files, medication records, developmental growth records and others * Provide for a warm and safe environment that is orderly, clean and appealing, and permits children to grow and explore * Work collaboratively with Special Education teachers in developing and implementing lesson plans that address Individualized Education Plans, as needed * Attend Individualized Education Plan meetings as General Education teacher, as needed * Assign and supervise the work of child care aide's * Attend staff meetings and participate in recommended training workshops, conferences, courses and other professional growth activities as required; provide parent education * Assist in out of school time programs as needed - including before/after school programs, seasonal camps, and educational trips * Oversee program operations when Site Coordinator is absent QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
