Overview

JOB SUMMARY: Supervises the day-to-day activities of the assigned CBO department staff to insure maximum productivity and completion and resolution of assigned projects and duties, and achievement of established monthly and quarterly accounts receivable goals in accordance with Concentra policies, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifies, analyzes and manages all issues pertaining to accounts receivable and customer service inquiries

  • Coordinates, assigns, audits and supervises work within departments to insure productivity standards and goals are consistently met.

  • Weekly, reviews and analyzes past due receivables with AR Accountants.Monitors cash application to ensure it is applied in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Establishes and maintain productive relationships with key resources including Managers as well as external payers.

  • Participates actively in weekly AR calls; coordinate activities and share responsibility for projects with other key AR staff.

  • Establishes and maintains the necessary billing and receivables tracking systems to maximize collections and cash flow. Work with accounting managers to determine the level of automation possible and the necessary personnel to achieve collection goals.

  • Oversees monthly A/R reporting requirements.

  • Ensures all cash, AR reconciliations and sales related adjustments are accurate and performed in a timely fashion.

  • Supervises staff including: performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, work-flow planning, hiring and placement, and disciplinary actions.

  • Implements and maintains department compliances with new and existing policies and procedures.

  • Ensures timely completion of month end duties

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience (2 years' experience for every 1 year of college).

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 5 years progressive health-care billing experience including accounts receivables
  • 6 months prior supervisory experience

  • Strong managerial, planning and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Leadership skills

  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions

  • Knowledge of assigned state(s) workers compensation rules and regulations

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

  • Ability to work overtime as required

  • Broad knowledge of desktop computer applications

  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting and internal control procedures

  • Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting software

  • Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge and experience

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Team player, self-starter able to work with little supervision

  • Sensitivity to the needs of every individual to be treated with respect and fairness

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

SUMMARY: Manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities, at the field level, of all assigned Security Officer(s); Executes all tasks related to maintaining prescribed standards in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedure; ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned by the Operations Manager or Account Manager: * Provides the first line of supervision during those hours when an Operations Staff member is not on duty; * Has a working knowledge and understanding of the Specific and General Post instructions for all Branch posts. Has practical knowledge of all additional and emergency post instructions that are called for by the client; * Patrols Branch assigned posts and accounts, using company provided vehicle; * Has authority invested in them to make decisions that are in compliance with Walden policies; * Has the authority to relieve any security officer that is in violation of Walden rules/regulations/ procedures; * Provides shift supervision of all posts and the security officers, including the Roving patrols on duty during that time, randomly visiting post/accounts and performing inspections of the security officers manning the posts; * Conducts inspections of Posts and Security Officer(s) for proper compliance with the specific Post Orders, Walden procedures and general knowledge of post assignment; * Assists in conducting on-the-job-training for newly assigned security officers as necessary; * Responds to building/facility and bank alarms upon request throughout the assigned area and ATM alarms as required; * Responds to urgent client needs/requests for services or changes to services; * Informs the Operations Manager of matters/issues that cannot wait until the next workday; * Ensure delivery and posting of weekly security officer(s) schedules at each post; * Records the daily events of their post on the Daily Inspection Report (DIR) which will be reviewed daily by the Operations Manager and QA Manager; * Fills any post that becomes open during their shift of duty with an off duty security officer. Works the shift of any posts that cannot be filled, until such time as a post qualified security officer can be scheduled; * Examines doors, windows, and gates of assigned posts to determine that they are secure; * Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts; * Registers at watch stations to record time of inspection trips and contracted random inspections. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives general direction from the Branch Operations Manager, Quality Assurance and General Manager. Exercises direct supervision over branch Security Officer(s). Provides input to the management in regards to operation, status of posts and Security Officer(s).
