Job Summary
The Supervisor is accountable for supervision and coordination of the Dialysis departments and establishing goals and objectives, standards of performance and to develop policies and procedures. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
1-2 years nursing experience and an additional 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients, in either a chronic or acute setting, is required.
3-5 years experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
An active license in the state of practice required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) preferred.
