Job Summary

This position is responsible for the daily posting and balancing of patient and insurance payments. In addition, they will work through payment rejections on patient accounts (either by manual or electronic posting), ensure contractual adjustments are correctly determined and accurately posted, patient responsibility is appropriately applied, overpayments are addressed according to the payer contract and reviews/approves refund requests.

The supervisor of cash posting prepares and presents various reports to the director and finance. They are responsible for ensuring all missing deposit and/or remits are skip traced after the 3-day threshold. This position will report any operational and systemic enhancement opportunity to the director.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement :

High School or equivalent required. Knowledge of hospital contract terminology and reimbursement methodology.

Minimum Experience Requirement :

Three (3) years' experience posting payments/EOBs. Excellent customer service skills required.
