The Bennett Family Center is seeking candidates committed to the process of creating and providing high quality learning environments for children and families. Responsibilities include supporting and maintaining high quality classroom standards in a laboratory setting; coordinating and implementing an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues; establishing and maintaining relationships of cooperation and respect with all co-workers, supervisors, and families; providing oversight and training of two co-educators, interns and student teachers in early childhood education undergraduate programs; and maintaining standards in accordance with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and PA Keystone STARS 4 quality standards.

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have experience working in early childhood education settings. Additional work experience preferred.
Other requirements include excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, active infant/child first-aid and CPR certifications, and good judgment in potential emergency situations. This position must be able to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality. Required clearances include:
PA Child Care Clearances; FBI Fingerprinting; Physical Exam; and tuberculosis test. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with good possibility of re-funding.
