We are looking for a Supervising Producer of OTT Programming to help develop a comprehensive strategy around WIRED's OTT app. We are looking for someone with extensive experience in VOD programming for Over-the-Top platforms (Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, etc.) to help us grow our audience and build content that will attract new viewers across emerging platforms.
The ideal candidate will be a creative thought-leader who is excited about the opportunity to bring smart, engaging content to curious viewers; a self-starter who loves piloting new projects; and a team player who will work closely with members of our acquisitions, operations, product and programming teams to build an innovative, successful OTT channel.
Work closely with the Executive Producer and members of CNE's team to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for programming WIRED's OTT channel that includes acquiring premier third-party programming, curating in-house content and developing original programming.
Create tactics for attracting audiences through successful originals, binge-worthy programming, tentpole events and creative tie-ins.
Work closely with the Senior Director of Acquisitions to identify high-quality, on-brand series and docs available for licensing within budget
Manage a quarterly budget and ensure content comes in on-time and at cost.
Work with marketing team to develop strategies to attract and retain audience.
Provide opportunities for monetization by building sponsor- and advertising-friendly packages
Monitor and identify success stories from across the industry that help inform our planning.
Work with product and operations staff to ensure the smooth function of the app and evaluate progress
5-7 years experience in video production or programming, with at least 3 years experience specifically in programming VOD content for Over-the-Top platforms
Demonstrated ability to manage launches and programming strategy and effectively track growth and progress.
Strong working knowledge of the landscape of OTT
