Supervised Visitation Specialist (Casual Part Time)

Family Services is a non-profit organization that protects, heals and cares for children and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Family Services is strongly committed to protecting children and vulnerable individuals from abuse and exploitation.

When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.

Our Supervised Visitation program has an opening for a casual part-time Supervised Visitation Specialist in our Appleton office. This position supervises visitations to maintain safety between parents and their children in various locations.

Qualified candidate will have an understanding of family support concepts and adhere to child safety and well-being during the visits. Observation and documentation skills are essential for this position as are strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of community resources, and excellent oral, written, and listening skills. A valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation are required. This position is for less than 20 hours per week and the typical schedule is 2-3 evenings per week with some day time hours as needed.

This position requires a High School Diploma/GED. Preferred candidates will have an Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field or two years of experience.
