Job Overview: Superintendent is responsible for completing organizational and project leadership responsibilities through scheduling, overseeing, and participating in scheduled work activities to effectively lead the construction team. This includes all in house trades (Carpenters, Painters, Electrician, HVAC, etc.) involved with construction related tasks as well as outside vendors contracted for projects.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledgeable in Bluebeam software and able to operate basic commands and functions of the program.

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Project.

• Familiar with International Building Code, Minnesota Building Code and Local Jurisdiction building requirements.

• Proven ability to interpret construction documents, specifications, and details.

• Excellent communication abilities including writing, speaking and active listen through in-person, phone, email, and text.

• Education/Experience: 2-year technical certificate + 5 years construction leadership experience or 8 years construction leadership experience.

• Ability to effectively lead a team of carpenters in day to day and long-range goals.

• Physically capable of working along carpenter team and working with construction materials.

• Assesses issues or conflicts on projects sites relating to design constructability or manpower. Escalates issues needing Management input.

• Makes decisions in collaboration with Project Managers regarding design changes, constructability, or schedule conflict.
