Superintendent

We have been retained by our client, a growing Commercial General Contractor in the Houston, TX area, to find a Superintendent. This role entails supervising all onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and supporting project management tasks.

Duties:

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, including a master schedule that integrates all critical construction activities and sequences.
• Oversee daily site operations, manage subcontractors, and ensure quality control, safety measures, and compliance with construction standards.
• Lead safety initiatives on-site, conducting regular inspections, safety meetings, and compliance reporting to maintain a secure working environment.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily reports, record drawings, and compliance forms to ensure project accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Facilitate and lead regular meetings with subcontractors to ensure project continuity, adherence to schedule, and resolution of potential conflicts.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of construction experience with a proven track record in managing large scale projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about construction with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to foster relationships with owners and subcontractors.
