CORE Construction is seeking a Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction on large scale commercial projects in Phoenix. The candidate will be responsible for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out, including:
Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices
Quality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected
Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors
Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination
Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions
Reviewing all drawings, specifications and submittals
Daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates
The superintendent's role is to ensure whatever is required to facilitate the construction of the project on site from beginning to completion while utilizing CORE's best practices in safety, quality, schedule and cost while maintaining relationships with both our trade partners and our clients. These projects are often for a wide range of institutional clients, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, municipalities, healthcare systems and more. The projects may range from $10K to over $100 million in construction costs.
This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Minimum 10 years construction experience
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Complete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencing
Understanding of ASI's, RFI's and Material Submittals
Technology: Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project and Procore
Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
Must be willing to travel within the state of Arizona

A valid Driver's License
