About the role
We are looking for a Superintendent
This role is a great opportunity to oversee a critical equipment modification project of the grind circuit at our Copperton Concentrator Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be:
Work with construction service providers and site personnel in executing the construction plan to budget and schedule, including equipment commissioning, with a targeted completion by December 2019.
Engage construction and site personnel in a visible, pro-active approach to evaluate work areas and work permit protocols for the safe execution of construction activities
Strive for alignment with Concentrator Maintenance and Operations personnel. This project requires a very high level of process and maintenance coordination with plant personnel
Participate in Constructability Reviews and Construction Risk Assessments with construction service providers, site personnel, and project team members. Management of construction risks required
Supervise project construction coordinators to ensure daily construction activities are adequately communicated, planned and executed in a safe manner in line with the construction scope and schedule
Track construction schedule progress and provide weekly updates for project Key Performance Indicators
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or significant related experience
10+ years of construction management experience with multi-million dollar projects in an industrial setting
Proven record of managing construction projects and equipment commissioning with an emphasis on safety
Experience leading teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders in achieving project deliverables
Familiarity with sound construction management practices
Clear understanding of work prioritization and time management
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Construction Management certification
Experience in mining and/or processing operational roles
