Overview
The Supply Chain Training Specialist is responsible for driving the culture of continuous learning and development within the distribution centers. The Supply Chain Training Specialist will help identify new projects, implement learning solutions, train local team members, transfer best practices, and provide report metrics to measure ROI. This role will support the DC and Supply Chain leaders and their staff to ensure that continuing education programs are carried out effectively, motivate people, and facilitate positive process changes which will result in sustainable operational effectiveness.
This position will be based out of our Store Support Office in Phoenix with a percentage of time also spent at our Glendale Distribution Center.
Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Assist with the development of learning plans and schedules, course content, and training aides to support DC and Supply Chain team members
Maintain training database with class schedules, records of completion and certifications for DC and Supply Chain team members. Analyze data and provide regular reports to key stakeholders on progress and impact of learning programs.
Assist with the development and implementation of on-going team member recognition programs. Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of acknowledgments for DC and Supply Chain team members
Provide train the trainer sessions for new lead trainers
Partner with Subject Matter Experts to assist with the creation, update, and annual review of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency among all distribution center locations
Assists in the design and development of new training requests, recommend enhancements and changes to existing training programs
Ensure learning materials comply with federal, state and food safety regulations and requirements
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities & Physical Requirements)
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
1-3 years of relevant training / learning & development experience
Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center preferred
Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and SharePoint
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to accommodate different learning styles and engage the audience
Ability to form strong partnerships with all levels of team members and management
Excellent analytical skills; ability to analyze performance data and tie it to results-driven learning
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
Team player, willing to adapt based on business needs
Excellent project management skills with the ability to work on cross-functional teams effortlessly
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, and strong ability to multitask to balance competing priorities
Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
