Summer Youth Rowing or Sailing Coach (Mt Baker)
Associated Recreation Council along with Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center is seeking coaches for Summer Youth Rowing or Sailing Camps. Additional opportunities may be available depending on interest and experience. Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center is operated through a partnership between Seattle Parks and Recreation, and the Associated Recreation Council, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and equal opportunity employer.
Schedule:
Youth Camps are week long camps during weekdays from late June through late August.
We offer a variety of boating camps which include Adventure Camps (age 10-14), Optimist Sailing Camps (age 8-11), and double-handed sailing camps (age 11-17) in V-15's and FJ's.
Opportunities exist for both morning or afternoon camps
Summer Youth Rowing or Sailing Coach Job Requirements:
Passion for teaching
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Be able to work within a collaborative, team environment
At least 1 year boating instruction preferred
US Sailing Level 1 or US Rowing Level 1 certification preferred
Proof of clean driving record
CPR/First Aid training required within 1 month of hire (we offer training courses)
Washington Boaters Education certification required prior to beginning of instruction
USOC SafeSport certification within 1 month of hire
