United Bank is currently seeking a Summer Float Teller for our branches located in Northern Connecticut, specifically around the greater Vernon, CT area. The position would primarily be housed in our Vernon branch, but will provide support, as business needsarise, to surrounding branch locations. The Teller is primarily responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience and to process teller transactions and service requests accurately and efficiently in accordance with established United Bank policiesand procedures. Extended and weekend hours may be required based upon buisness needs and scheduling expectations of branches.

Teller:

  • As a front line team member, consistently seeks to delight our customers by providing a best-in-class customer experience.

  • Is quick to serve, provides undivided attention, and ensures accuracy in processing transactions in an effort to meet customer needs.

  • Helps deepen and retain customer relationships by identifying consumer and small business customers' needs and creating interest in appropriate value-added financial products and solutions.

  • Educates customers on self-service options and other United Bank customer benefits.

  • Understands United Bank's policies and procedures and processes transactions in accordance with these guidelines.

  • Acts with a high level of integrity, adhering to United Bank's Code of Ethics while protecting customer and bank information.

  • Creates a positive team environment by demonstrating United Bank's cultural attributes and models key customer experience behaviors during each customer interaction.

  • May be required to work weekends and/or extended hours. Regular, reliable attendance is critical.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as an ambassador of the bankgreeting and delighting customers while providing basic teller services.

  • Build customer loyalty through courtesy and friendliness, including addressing each customer by name and thanking the customer for their business.

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency to meet customer needs while maintaining complete focus on deliver exceptional customer experience.

  • Builds and deepens relationships by uncovering customer needs and referring appropriate products and solutions.

  • Understands and lives United Bank's cultural attributes, as well as demonstrate personal integrity to our work by upholding high standards of ethical and professional conduct.

  • Contributes to a positive workplace environment that helps motivate and inspire the branch team to strive for greatness.

  • Processes customer transactions accurately and efficiently to build customer confidence and trust, based on established policies and procedures.

OTHER FUNCTIONS of the POSITION:

All employees are subject to the requirements of the United Bank BSA Program. An employee's role with United Bank determines which parts of the program apply. However, all employees are responsible for reporting suspicious activity identified in the courseof their work, and all employees are responsible for the timely completion of mandatory compliance training assigned, such as BSA and OFAC.

The above duties may not be all-inclusive. The incumbent may be asked or required to perform other work as time and abilities allow.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Experience:

  • Teller/cash handling experience required
  • 6+ months of customer service experience required
Knowledge, Abilities, and

Skills:
  • Demonstrates each of United Bank's cultural attributes while having a strong desire to be successful.

  • Bilingual skills, as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • As the business demands, team members may be required to stand for extended periods of time (i.e. serving customers behind the teller line), and may also be required to lift and transport bags of coin and currency to the appropriate vaults or cash drawers.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Sales experience desired

  • Computer experience desired

  • Knowledge of banking products and solutions desirable
