This person is responsible for assisting the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew.
The major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, meets regulatory requirements, public relations) of work, safety, and maintenance of equipment.
The intern will operate survey equipment, maintain a safe work environment, protect and maintain the equipment and vehicles and accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features.
Currently enrolled in a four year surveying or engineering college program preferred, or two year surveying associates degree.
Must meet academic requirements set by the University to participate in an internship.
Must have good technical skills
Must possess behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, likes working alone when required, methodical, consistent, detail oriented and precise.
Must have experience in previous jobs working outside on a regular basis preferably in extreme conditions.
Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
