Description

  • This person is responsible for assisting the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew.

  • The major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, meets regulatory requirements, public relations) of work, safety, and maintenance of equipment.

  • The intern will operate survey equipment, maintain a safe work environment, protect and maintain the equipment and vehicles and accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features.

Required Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a four year surveying or engineering college program preferred, or two year surveying associates degree.

  • Must meet academic requirements set by the University to participate in an internship.

  • Must have good technical skills

  • Must possess behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, likes working alone when required, methodical, consistent, detail oriented and precise.

  • Must have experience in previous jobs working outside on a regular basis preferably in extreme conditions.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
