Effective for the 2024 summer program, vacancies for several Special Education Teacher positions exist within the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit throughout the County. These positions are for school age programs. Positions are temporary for the duration of the summer program only.

Schedule: (may vary slightly depending on program)

• 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM (6.5 hours a day)
• Monday - Thursday

Qualifications:

• Applicants must hold a Valid PDE certification in Special Education or be willing to become emergency certified in the area of Special Education

• Current police, child abuse and FBI fingerprint clearances required.

• Must be able to work entire ESY session.

• Experience working with Special Education Students preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Applicant will be expected to develop and implement an individual instructional program for students.

Hourly Rate: (Based on Years of Experience)

0-13 years experience= $37.00 per hour

14-28 years experience= $42.00 per hour

29+ years experience= $47.00 per hour
