TBD JOB SUMMARY Provides administrative support to summer school program by participating as a team partner and supporting the building administrative staff and the building improvement plan. Position reports to the principal or assigned staff member. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Essential functions under the Americans with Disabilities Act may include any of the following duties, knowledge, and skills.

Assist the building administrator with various tasks including message handling and written communications (including newsletters, flyers & brochures), answering mail, filing, payroll, and scheduling. Order and maintain inventory of all school supplies for daily use for all staff members, process purchase requisitions and supply requests. Record all student daily attendance.

Responsible for the maintenance of student computer records system including enrollment, attendance and scheduling also responsible for providing all necessary reports. Responsible for being the initial contact person for parents and visitors. Provide appropriate responses when able or direct the individual to the appropriate contact.

Maintain student files. Record student data information in school file and files for pupil personnel as they enroll or drop. Responsible for the recording of student vaccination records.

Maintain breakfast/lunch program files for programs that have breakfast/lunch. Maintain the computerized student information system & be willing to be trained on other computer applications for school use. Provide first aid as needed or seek appropriate medical services.

Responsible for school inventory (i.e., building keys, supplies, equipment, etc.). Secure and prepare time reports for staff. Maintain a positive, supportive & cooperative working relationship with staff, students, administration, families, and the community Interact with co-workers, administration, students, parents, and the community in positive, supportive, and cooperative ways. Responsible for working with the school volunteers, to ensure the district policies and procedures are implemented.

In-person and on-time attendance is mandatory. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED. Previous secretarial experience in the requested grade level. Demonstrated experience working with computers.

Working knowledge of windows-based programs (Microsoft Word & Excel). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Publisher. Working knowledge of the district's e-mail, student records, substitute system, payroll and financial systems or the willingness and the ability to learn.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation. Demonstrated ability to problem solve (listen, identify problem and collaboratively problem solve). Demonstrated ability to make good decisions that are consistent and fair within contractual guidelines and Board policies Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills. Excellent telephone etiquette and oral communication skills. Recognition of adherence to the confidentiality requirements of the office and ability to maintain it at a high level.

Good public relations, professional and courteous conversation skills with school customers. Ability to deal with high stress situations, prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and make independent decisions as needed. Work is performed indoors.
