Summer Seasonal Production Support

This is a summer seasonal position available for students. To be considered, you must be:

• 18 years old by your scheduled start date

• A student who plans to attend college courses in the Fall

• Available to participate in the interview process

• Available to work at least six weeks during the summer months

Pay:

• Compensation: The pay for this position is pre-determined at $23.50 per hour. Compensation for this role has been determined based on required experience, education, certification, and training. All positions are eligible for additional incentives based on business performance. Additional hourly compensation for working swing and graveyard shifts.

Schedule

Positions available on all shifts

• Day shift working Monday through Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Swing shift working Monday through Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (+ $1.25 per hour!)
• Graveyard shift working Sunday through Thursday 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (+ $1.75 per hour!)

About the Position

The purpose of this position is to provide ingredient supply, product changeover, shortening packaging, and other services required to convert raw materials into dry mixes for our customers.

Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.

• Supplies indoor silo requirements through operation of bulk dump stations.

• Verifies correct product connected and conveyed to proper silo.

• Accurately utilizes computerized process stock location inventory menus and windows.

• Completes and processes bag dump, inventory, cleandown, safety, shift tie-in, and other related documentation in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.

• Performs routine and changeover sanitation tasks within regulatory, GMP, lockout/tagout, and confined space entry guidelines.

• Properly uses and cares for the cleaning equipment used in process sanitation.

• Properly sets up and shuts down oil/shortening packaging scales.

• Performs check weighs, density, sifter, and screener inspections as required.

• Produces to scheduled oil/shortening requirements.

• Supplies bulk dump stations with a sufficient supply of the right ingredients.

• Performs automatic and manual manipulation of various process equipment and devices.

• Follows GMP's at all times.

Able to:

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

As a member of the operations team, you will be exposed to a variety of physical demands that require you to lift heavy objects (up to 60 pounds), climb stairs, exert energy, bend, twist and squat, and use tools and equipment. Employees stand and walk on concrete while wearing steel-toed shoes, uniforms, hair nets, bump caps, gloves and safety glasses. The use of company-provided hearing protection is also required in stated areas. Work takes place in an indoor production environment that has a high level of food dust and limited climate control. Will enter confined spaces and work at above-floor heights.
