Our district educates approximately 10,500 students (representing 50 languages) in preschool through eighth grades in 22 outstanding schools. Our family of schools includes three middle schools (Grades 6-8), fifteen elementary schools (TK/K-5), three schools with all grades (K-8), and one Early Education Center. We also have preschools co-located at our six elementary sites.

We have various theme based schools: Montessori, Immersion (Spanish and Mandarin), and STEM. ACHIEVEMENT GOAL:

Create learning opportunities for ALL Pre-K through 8th students resulting in closing the achievement gap and culminating in personal and academic success in high school and beyond. EQUITY GOAL: Reduce inequitable outcomes for ALL students and staff by prioritizing equity, access, and inclusion.

Job Summary

San Mateo-Foster City School District seeks energetic educators with a passion for working with students to serve as Para Educator I for the 2024 Extended Learning Opportunity Program (ELO-P). Selection Process: The selection for summer school paras will be made on a district-wide basis.

Extended School Year assignments will be determined on the basis of program needs at each school site and final hiring will be based on adequate enrollment. Priority will be given to San Mateo-Foster City School District employee. Please see job description for full details and schedule.
