Summer Quest Social Worker (Elementary)

Effective Date:

Session 1: June 17-29 (no June 19th)

Session 2: July 8-19

• Paid planning and professional development time the week of June 10th.+ Asynchronous trainings prior to June 10th

Hours:

6.5 paid hours per day 7:30-2:30

30 minute unpaid lunch

5 days per week (Monday - Friday)

Salary:

$35.98 - $39.06 per hour depending on years of experience working in BPS summer programming

Required Licensure:

Current MN Social Work License

Preferred Experience:

Elementary experience and previous ALC/Targeted Services or Summer School experience

Major Responsibilities:

Targeted Services is part of a system of support to ensure all students are successful on their pathway to graduation. Targeted Services provides learning opportunities that actively engage the learner while extending each student's learning, utilizing an approach to engage students with the teacher, school and community. The purpose is to develop the skills needed to be successful in the regular school program.

• Create an engaging and supportive environment that encourages students to attend and participate

• Provide in classroom SEL lessons, 1-1 and small group supports for students

• Engage families in their child's learning and support the culture and model of summer school

• Attend Professional Development
