Common Threads currently operates in 13 major cities including Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; Dallas/Ft Worth, TX; El Paso, TX; Erie, PA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; New Orleans, LA; New York City, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; San Antonio, TX and Washington D.C. During the 2017-18 school year and summer, it provided hands-on cooking skills to more than 100,000 students, worked with over 500 schools and partner sites and served more than half a million healthy meals and snacks.

Additionally, the manager will be responsible to helping to design and implement an integrated nutrition and diabetes education model within ambulatory offices. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority. (20%) * Recommend an integrated model for nutrition services that supports a variety of service lines. (10%) * Implements ADA recognition strategy network wide and acts as clinical oversight for the program. (10%) * Organize, direct and coordinate cross-functional activities to focus corporate resources on the successful delivery and implementation of the integrated nutrition program. (20%) * Implements and coordinates practice performance improvement programs. (10%) * Works collaboratively with physicians, leadership and health professionals to accomplish organization and practice goals. (10%) * Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements. (5%) * Establishes policies and procedures related to patient care. (5%) * Develops, documents, and monitor the nutritional plan of care for the population served. (5%) * Other duties as assigned or requested. (5%) QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Master's degree 5-7 years of experience in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 0-1 years of experience with medical terminology, insurance theory and ICD-10, and CPT coding Preferred 3-5 years of supervisory experience As a component of job responsibilities, employees may have access to covered information, cardholder data, or other confidential customer information that must be protected at all times.
