Summer Marketing & Project Assistant

This is a great opportunity for a student looking to further develop their communication, marketing, and social media skills by writing, editing, and designing original content in a variety of mediums. The student will have the ability to pitch new ideas and have a strong portfolio to showcase their work by the end of the season!

• Design and create marketing materials for the Navigation Center for Student Success including print materials, content for the Meehan building media wall, and bulletin board content

• Plan, develop, and create social media campaigns and posts

• Suggest and implement changes to the Navigation Center MyHill Site

• Suggest and compile suggested changes to the Navigation Center external webiste

• Compete various administrative projects for the Executive Director for Student Success

Job Requirements

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the work of the Navigation Center

• Can work independently and complete tasks on time or notifies the appropriate person with an alternate plan

• Exhibits strong attention to detail

• Exceptional ability to work with technology; excellent understanding and utilization of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn) as well as MS Office (Word, Excel), SharePoint, OneNote and other relevant apps

• Experience with Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Publisher, iMovie (photography and digital video experience is a plus!)

• Use social media extensively, and show interest in learning new platforms and trends

• Superior written and interpersonal communication skills; possess good judgment, decision making, initiative, time management and organizational skills

• Must be creative and innovative with ideas and strategies to develop and manage compelling social media campaigns to generate traffic and engagement

• Must be highly flexible and adaptable in an office setting, and work well within deadlines
