Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Field Intern. As a Field Intern, you will get provided with the practical skills needed to complement their classroom studies. Interning for Sunbelt will prepare him/her for a successful career and offer the necessary experience to become competitive in future endeavors.


  • Complete the given project in a professional and timely matter.


Familiar with advanced functions of MS Office

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
3.0 GPA

Current juniors or above preferred

Self-motivated, hardworking, dependable, reliable, responsible, and punctual

Strong organizational and time management skills

Proactive personality (Energetic, Enthusiastic)

Project Based around learning the different functions of the various roles in a Profit Center.

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. This is a full time, 12-week program in which you will act as an extension of our team. You will have the opportunity to apply your statistical modeling skills to help solve real industry problems for the financial or insurance industries. The Team's Focus Data Optimization TU healthcare is responsible for owning and driving data opportunities for Insurance Discovery through data synergies within and outside of TU Healthcare. We have a wealth of health care revenue cycle data. Our group is looking to analyze new data sources that will drive targeted revenue growth and discover ways to use the same data to build new product lines. We work with different technologies SQL server, Hadoop, excel, tableau, SSRS that cover wide range of data sources and visualization tools. How You'll Contribute This position will conduct a research project, either independently or as part of a team, under the supervision of a senior member of the team. The project scope will be designed to be achievable within the expected duration and total number of hours of the internship. At the conclusion of the project, the supervisor will conduct an assessment of the quality, completeness, and usefulness of the work. Executing the project will provide the incumbent with the opportunity to gain practical knowledge of applications of analytics in the healthcare insurance / insurance industry. * Focus on analysis or report building topic in collaboration with the supervisor. Analysis should either demonstrate a technique not commonly used by the department or a substantial process improvement to a commonly used method. * Manage the project proactively. Provide the supervisor with periodic progress reports. * Design an appropriate testing environment to measure applicability of the proposed methodology to the needs of the business unit and compare with alternative approaches, as appropriate. * Create any software code necessary for the use of the proposed methodology. * Carefully document all sources and research findings. Prepare a summary of findings in an internal white paper for senior management. * Present summary of findings to stake holders. Conduct training for other Associates as appropriate. * Provide support for Data Analytics/Business Analysis projects beyond the scope of the project, as needs arise. What You'll Bring * Currently enrolled in a competitive program in pursuit of a graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics, or a related quantitative field. Maintaining a grade point average in major field of study. * Strong analytical, critical thinking & creative problem solving skills. Ability to conduct meaningful research with a high degree of independence. * Advanced programming skills in SQL, relational database and reporting tools such as tableau. * Familiarity with one or more statistical languages, such as R, Python, or SAS. Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Familiar with relational databases and "Big Data" technologies. * Versatile interpersonal communication style.
