We are looking for an entry-level engineer to join our dynamic team. We design some of the most secure communications systems for our customers. Our mission area focuses on beyond line-of-sight communications for both terrestrial and Space applications that utilize waveform algorithms, encryption devices, controls, and high-speed interfaces as well as standard protocols and implementation of IP core functions. Designs will be implemented using Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), System on Chip (SOC), and Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLDs). Development activities may also include laboratory integration, test and evaluation, fault isolation of prototype hardware, and system qualification testing support. You will build your skills and experience while working with people that have product knowledge and a wide array of firmware development and verification experience.

Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:

  • Writing and reviewing design descriptions and requirements

  • Code development and reviews for designs and/or testbenches

  • Running simulations and collecting/improving code coverage

  • Schematic diagram review and input for programmable logic device support

  • Target device trade studies, recommendations, and selection

  • Creating project and constraint files for synthesis and place and route

  • Understanding and resolving timing violations

  • Hardware verification using lab equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes

  • Communicating progress of assigned tasks to team lead

Security Clearance & Other Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.


  • Familiarity with digital logic design.

  • Familiarity with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) or Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLDs)

  • Customer focus and collaboration skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Familiarity with VHDL or Verilog programming languages

  • Basic knowledge and lab experience with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers

  • Must be a college Junior, Senior or Post Graduate student by Fall 2022

Desired Requirements:

  • Curriculum geared towards embedded systems

  • Previous co-op/internship/projects experience implementing and verifying firmware

  • Familiarity with C/C++, HLS, or UVM

  • Familiarity with programmable logic development tools (e.g. ISE, Vivado, Quartus II, Libero, Synplify)

  • Linux scripting experience (bash shells, make files, Tcl, Python)

  • Familiarity with source control (e.g. GIT, SVN, ClearCase)

Required Education:

Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree and entering as a college Junior, Senior or pursuing a MS / PhD by Fall 2022. Must be working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related STEM field. Please include your transcript with your resume.
