As the Finance Intern you will support the organization while learning about a career in finance. Finance interns gain practical experience in the constantly-growing field of finance. Regular duties and responsibilities for finance interns include generating and analyzing reports, taking notes during meetings, preparing statements, entering data, and assisting with audits.
Responsibilities:
Support finance and accounting operational work, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and daily processing.
Analyze reports, prepare statements, enter data
Assist with preparation and compiling of data for audits
Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
Assist with special projects and documentation efforts.
Attend and contribute to meetings.
Provide administrative assistance.
Backs up other departmental staff as necessary
Accomplishes the credit union's mission by completing relevant duties as needed when requested by management or other staff members
Essential Qualifications:
For consideration, applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college program pursuing an Associate's/Bachelor's degree. One year customer service/sales experience preferred.
Dependable, quick learner who is independent and works well with others
Strong analytical, written communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of finance, banking industry, investment fields operations is helpful but not mandatory
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
