Position Summary
The Rocket Pharmaceuticals Internship Program is a paid 10-week summer program for university students. Interns will gain hands-on experience working alongside a diverse group of professionals with a mission to develop curative gene therapies for patients with devastating diseases.
This intern position will be responsible for developing a financial report for Facility operational spend, organizing Rockets spare parts inventory to support critical GMP manufacturing equipment and labeling laboratory chemicals with RFID tags and entering data into a chemical inventory system. The intern will gain experience creating budgets, generating a unique numbering system to maintain inventory in an organized way. In addition, this position will gain valuable facilities experience by supporting other engineering projects on-site. site.
Responsibilities
Pulling data from Rockets financial system to create a detailed Spend Report for the Facilities department
Lead the evaluation of current inventory of spare parts and identify items used on specific equipment or multiple equipment
Design the organization of spare parts in a sensible manner while assigning unique part numbers for the specific parts
Design and implement the spare parts layout, creating / labeling locations for parts inventory
Support weekly construction walk-through to verify completed work against design drawings
Label containers of chemicals in the labs and enter the data into a software program
Escorting external Vendors as necessary
Support other facilities projects, as assigned
End-of-summer presentation to Rocket team members on key learnings from internship experience
Qualifications
Rising junior or senior bachelors degree student in chemical or biochemical engineering
Great organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Efficient with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders
