THE ROLE

The position: The Engineering Intern - R&D assists Test and Design Engineers and Lab Technicians with tasks and projects relating to Great Dane's Products, Testing Equipment, and the Facility.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assists the engineers with designing the product.
Assists the engineers with data acquisition, data analysis, and presentation.
Assists engineers with evaluation of test equipment for functionality, repeatability, and safety.
Assists Engineers with small-scale testing and materials, fasteners, adhesives and electrical components.
Assists with MRO restocking and facility upkeep.
Assists with maintenance of databases and spreadsheets.
Assists creation of procedures for testing activities.
Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)
Education: Must be current student pursuing Industrial Design degree at accredited college/university, or recently graduated from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree or higher in an industrial design area of study.
Experience: None Required (however life skills in a technical field are definitely a plus)
Skills: MS Productivity software (MS Excel, Word, etc.)
CAD skills needed to work with Design Engineers.
Communication skills: Both technical and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Self Starter: Required
Travel: None
