Summer Intern - Engineering Industrial Design

The position: The Engineering Intern - R&D assists Test and Design Engineers and Lab Technicians with tasks and projects relating to Great Dane's Products, Testing Equipment, and the Facility.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assists the engineers with designing the product.

• Assists the engineers with data acquisition, data analysis, and presentation.

• Assists engineers with evaluation of test equipment for functionality, repeatability, and safety.

• Assists Engineers with small-scale testing and materials, fasteners, adhesives and electrical components.

• Assists with MRO restocking and facility upkeep.

• Assists with maintenance of databases and spreadsheets.

• Assists creation of procedures for testing activities.

• Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)

• Education: Must be current student pursuing Industrial Design degree at accredited college/university, or recently graduated from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree or higher in an industrial design area of study.

• Experience: None Required (however life skills in a technical field are definitely a plus)

• Skills: MS Productivity software (MS Excel, Word, etc.)

• CAD skills needed to work with Design Engineers.

• Communication skills: Both technical and interpersonal communication skills are required.

• Self Starter: Required

• Travel: None
