General Summary

Performs duties under direct to moderate supervision in a particular core competency or business function of the organization that aligns with the intern's chosen field of study.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

• Assists with a wide range of duties in the field of Software Engineering

• Create a drone based configuration web portal

• Assists with creation and analysis of routine projects, programs, policies and procedures

• Performs assigned intern projects and follows them to completion

• Supports more experienced personnel

Required Experience

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent

• Currently enrolled in pursuit of undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, C#

• Experience with Raspberry Pi, Arduino

• Must be willing and able to relocate to Huntsville, AL at his/her own expense for duration of internship

• Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs

• US Citizenship required. Must be able to pass criminal background check prior to hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in web development

• Experience with API's (Application programming interface)
